Buyer & Seller Safety Guidance

Our managed sales service is designed to provide clear structure, verified identity, and peace of mind during vehicle transactions.

Safety Advice for Vehicle Sellers
  • Never release the vehicle until funds clear: Proof of payment PDFs can easily be forged. Only hand over keys when money reflects as available cash in your bank account.
  • Keep your personal phone number private: By listing through LeroyAutoLink, you avoid public scraping of your number into spam/marketing databases.
  • Pre-screened viewing locations: Never meet buyers in isolated or unfamiliar areas after dark. We assist in choosing busy, well-lit, public viewing locations.
Safety Advice for Vehicle Buyers
  • Never pay upfront deposits blindly: Do not transfer deposits to unknown individuals without verifying the vehicle and communicating via LeroyAutoLink.
  • Inspect vehicle documentation: Verify the vehicle registration document (RC1), service books, and check for any outstanding financial encumbrances.
  • Mechanical inspections are encouraged: We welcome third-party AA/DEKRA roadworthy or mechanical inspections for total peace of mind.
